Homemade Healthy BBQ Sauce
All the flavors that BBQ has but none of the unnecessary sugars.
½ cup unsweetned ketchup
1-2 tbsp honey or brown sugar ( you can adjust for taste
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp tamari
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
pinch of salt + pepper
Instructions
1. Add everything to a small pot
2. Simmer on low for 5-10 minutes
3. Taste and adjust
Too tangy→ add a small amount of honey
Too sweet→ add vinegar
Too thick→ splash of water
Raw Energy Snack Bites
All real ingredients, real energy, snacking that actually works.
Ingredients.
1½ cups whole rolled oats
1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
¼ cup honey
1 scoop unflavored whey protein powder
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Optional
¼ cup ground flaxseed
6 tablespoons semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions.
1. Combine oats, peanut butter, honey, whey protein powder, vanilla, pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl
2. Use a 2- tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the mixture, then after use your hands to roll into small balls
3. Place on parchment paper then refrigerate for 1-2 hours then put into sealed container in fridge and are good to eat for up to a week
Hummus and Veggies
Ingredients
1½ cups cooked chickpeas that are drained and rinsed
⅓ smooth tahini
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 garlic clove
½ tsp sea salt
5 tbsp water
Instructions
1. add chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and salt in a blender and blend until smooth, add water to reach you're desired consistency
2. Transfer to a bowl and serve with veggies
Crispy BBQ Chicken bites
Saucy, Crispy with high protein, this is what clean eating should taste like.
Ingredients
150g chicken breast (cubed)
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1-2 tbsp low sugar BBQ sauce
Instructions
1. Season chicken cubes
2. Air fry or bake art 400°F or (200°C) for around 12-15 minutes until crispy
3. Toss lightly in BBQ sauce
